Lizzie's favorite dessert!
Very Berry Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 1/4 cup of unsalted butter into small ( 1/2 inch ) cubes or small cunks
- 1 egg( beaten)
- 3-4 tbsp of ice water
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
- lemon zest not a lot
- 4-5 cups of berries
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl and your flour, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of salt. Whisk to combine. Add 1 cup of unslated butter in cubes, combine. Put in
the beaten egg and ice water, combine.Push together or knead the dough, divide into 2 pieces. wrap in plastic wrap, then freeze for 1 hour. When
done roll out to about 12 inches thick, place into a 8-9 inch pan, fold in. Cut off excess dough, refrigerate the dough till berry mix is done.
In small bowl add 2/3 cups of sugar, the corn starch, cinnamon, and lemon zest, whisk. In a large bowl add berries, mixture, lemon juice, put
